Johanna Dauphin, born in Sweden 3rd September 1976 grew up surrounded by fashion and creativity in a family of painters, designers and artists.
She graduates in fashion design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Italy and get a business degree in Marketing at the Stockholm University. The designer, Johanna Dauphin’s professional career begins in Italy in 2003 at the Italian fashion group Tod´s. Shortly after, she is offered to work with the LVMH group’s star brand FENDI, as a product manager for the accessories. With this previous experience, she decided to start her own company in 2007.
The Swedish/ French designer creates luxury accessories, hand crafted silver jewellery and leather clothing. J DAUPHIN is a mix of French and Italian craftsmanship, excellent materials and a strong signature of “rock n roll”. The ambition is to bring back the devotion of theartisans work and antique techniques to create extraordinary and genuine pieces.
Selected of International stars such as Uma Thurman and attention in press (Vogue, Elle, WWD, Harper’s bazaar) has created an early recognition of the brand and a quick success. She made special collaborations with Nordiska kompaniet I Stockholm as well for United Arrow in Tokyo Japan. For the collections spring summer 2009 she won the Berlin “premium fashion award” for the best new accessory designer. Today the collection can be found in around 100 of the most important multi brand stores in the countries: USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Germany, Spain, UK and France.
