Oliver Spencer
OLIVER SPENCER

All about culture, not about cult. The Oliver Spencer label mixes quintessential English style with quirky flourishes and is a cult brand favoured by a broad range of men, on an international level. The label is stocked worldwide in key retailers, and an Oliver Spencer stand alone store opened in New York in 2006, in partnership with famed retail mavericks Odin.

Founded in 2002 as a reaction to the merging boundaries between traditional tailoring and urban street attire the brand closes the gap between dress up and dress down tempered by a relaxed attitude. Oliver admits, "I was designing and making clothes for myself and my mates and it was suggested that I put a range together that would embody this." In doing so he allowed his quirky sensibilities to be revealed by the garments. Detachable collars, polka dot linings, hidden pockets and quirky accessories are all tempered by Oliver's craftsmanship and tailoring skills. As he says, his collections are, "All about culture, not about cult." Charming and articulate in his approach, Oliver has a diverse range of celebrity clients including personalities Paul McCartney, Richard Ashcroft, Liam Gallagher, Paul Weller, Heath Ledger, and bands The Doves, Athlete, The Bravery and Scissor Sisters. He also dressed members of The Rolling Stones for their Bigger Bang tour in 2006.
