Born in Hamburg, Germany in 1976.
Graduates in Fashion Design in 2001 from the Rhode Island School of Design and begins his traineeship at Marc Jacobs in New York City. Robert helps create four collections at Marc Jacobs before joining Alexandre Plokhov to revamp Cloak.
Robert designed 5 collections alongside Alexandre and helped win Cloak the Ecco Domani award in 2003 as well as the Vogue / CFDA grant in 2004.
In 2005, Robert launched Harald, a small and edgy women’s wear collection that “is a contender for New York’s most cultish women’s label after only two seasons and a very possible candidate for a CFDA nomination next year” (Lee Carter “V” magazine)
In the summer of 2006 Robert found financial backing for a men’s collection bearing his name, which launched in Autumn/Winter 2007 in New York. Rober Geller Collection is produced at the highest quality production facility in Japan.
